A few years ago, I had a new roof put on my house. It has leaked ever since. The roofing company came out to repair it until they decided it was costing them too much. So here I sat, with water leaking from my ceiling onto the floor. I needed to have it repaired by another company. This time I would do due diligence and check the BBB and also customer reviews. After checking several companies, I had five come out and give me estimates on the repairs. I narrowed my choice down to two companies, but finally felt that Sunrise roofing was a reputable company that gave me a good estimate and had good reviews all around.

0 stars. Sunrise roofing claims you have a 2 year warranty on the work performed but when you call about and issue they say they'll call you back and never do. At this point its been four months and the contractor I worked with, Harry, will not even answer his phone. The two year warranty is a scam. I DO NOT recommend this company. Don't make the same mistake I did.
Harry came by to give me an estimate and was amazing!! I received 4 other estimates and I must say Sunrise is extremely fair and do not try to take advantage of you, unlike the other 3 companies I received estimates from. The work was done quickly and guaranteed for years. Choose Sunrise roofing, they are the best!!!
I am very disappointed with my experience with Sunrise roofing and wish you luck if you choose to have them work on your roof. I hope your experience is better than mine. I have a very bitter taste in my mouth.
Later that day, my wife suggested that maybe, since we had to repair our plaster ceiling and have it painted, maybe our homeowner’s insurance would cover these costs. We contacted the insurance company. Had an adjuster take a look, and indeed, the homeowners wouldn’t cover the cost of the roof repair, but the adjuster said that the work that had been done might work for a year or two (if it worked at all), but it really wasn’t an adequate repair to solve our long term problems. That in a year or two (at most) we would need further repairs to be done. He suggested that I contact Sunrise and see if they would do the work and if we might get some compensation since we had already sunk money into the repair. I contacted Sunrise and told the nice lady that we are interested in having them do some additional work and would like an estimate. She said that she would contact Eric and have him get a hold of me. He didn’t call. I called back the next day. “I’ll ask him to give you a call.” Still no call. After the third day of calling and absolutely no response from Sunrise, I gave up.
I called them and authorized the work. The next day Harry came out to my house with a guy and the guy spent the good part of the morning making the repair and he even made a second repair that they threw into the deal. I was very happy with Sunrise roofing. That was before the rain. When the rain came the leak continued. Water was again dripping on my floor. I called Sunrise. They came out and made the “repair” of the repair. Then it rained again. More water from the ceiling but this time, clearly the repair had rerouted the water and now there was a second leak in my ceiling. I texted Harry and he said he would be out that day. He didn’t come. The next day, I texted Harry. He said he’d be out. He didn’t come. This went on for almost two weeks. The straw that finally broke the camel’s back was when I sent him a text in the morning and he said he was on his way to my house. Later that day, around 4:30, he texted me and said he was stuck in traffic on the bridge and probably wouldn’t make it to my house. The next day, I called the main office of Sunrise roofing. The lady who answered the phone was very nice, very apologetic and very concerned. She said that she would see what was going on. Nothing happened that Friday. The next week, on Monday, I called again. She was very nice, very concerned. She said she would speak with Eric, the owner. The next day, Harry was out, shot some caulk around the roof and then he left.
But they are always very nice and will call you “Sir” and “ma’am”.
So, since Sunrise did not do an adequate repair of my roof. And given that they do not honor their workmanship. And given that they are not even interested responding to request for additional work, at additional expense, I am now hiring a reputable roofer to come and do the work that Sunrise failed to do.
If you want quality workmanship and customer service, think twice.
